can you hear me now?

From textually.org:

Man eats cell phone chip to spite service

This is uh, a rather unusual piece of news. My mother had an expression which I think would be apropriate here: "cutting off your nose to spite your face".

A man, upset that his cell phone had not worked for months, broke the phone and then ate the memory chip. [via Z-Wire]

"The unusual incident occurred Sept. 10 at Car Phones Plus, 2574 Sun Valley Drive, when the 47-year-old City of Delafield man came into the store and started to create a disturbance, the report said.

The man, who was intoxicated, demanded a refund because his phone had not worked for six months.

The man then broke the phone in two and ate the memory chip "so no one would get his personal information," the report said."
